News of Chris

I need to keep up with these news articles more often, or I’ll lose my readership!  We can’t have that, now can we?  I’m not going to do a day-by-day, blow-by-blow breakdown of my life, but I’ll try to sum up the last week or so.

The biggest thing to happen was my trip to Sunriver last weekend.  That was a lotta fun, and it turned out that I didn’t need to bring mom’s van.  We fit everyone into the two 15-passenger state vans we had rented.  Getting there was at least 0.46 the fun!  It may have been half the fun, but putting those goddamn chains on going over the pass was a major pain in the ass.  It’s my belief that those were not the best chains they could have gotten for those vans.  No matter how many times we adjusted and tightened them, they kept going “thaWACK-thaWACK-thaWACK!” whenever we went above snail-pace.  That was irritating to say the least.  Believe me, as soon as we got down to the other side of the pass and out of the ice, we took them off.  It was all I could do to keep from chucking them over the cliff we were parked by.  Luckily, we didn’t need them for the trip home.

Sunriver was great, though.  We basically hung out all weekend playing games and watchin’ movies.  Some of us went skiing, but not me.  Skiing costs money, you see…  At any rate, I think we all had a good time and we’re already planning a trip for next term.  I think it’s the coast this time.  I’m lookin’ forward to it!  Perhaps I can get in on the planning on this one.  I try to be as involved as possible.  Oh!  And BTW everyone, I’m the new Complex Government President!  I beat out the incumbent President and Vice-president who were both running against me for the position.  SO THERE!  =P  No!  Just kidding, of course.  They’re both cool guys.  I just went to more meetings. =]  I’ve got good support in my cabinet, so I think we can get some good stuff done.  We’ve got a lot of good programs in the works, so we’ll definitely keep busy.

Not too much goin’ on this week out of the ordinary.  Just taking care of business as usual, I guess.  Been thinkin’ about the future and stuff.  Everything from what I want to do next year in regard to living situation and work to what I want to do with my life after college.  It’s only going to get more intense as we get closer to the end of school.  I’m only a sophomore for God’s sake!  In the more immediate, I’ve been thinking that more drastic action will be necessary to improve my financial situation.  I’ve gotta get a better job with higher wages and more hours for this summer.  I may need to get a better-paying just for the school year as well.  Oy!  Busy, busy, busy!  I’m thinkin’ of trying Radio Shack again.  I picked up another application this afternoon.  I’ll see how that goes.  Might be fun.  I haven’t done retail yet.

Anyways, I’m going to keep this shorter.  More next time, people!  Ciao!
