Cannons and Student Loans

It’s intention to use this space to kill time while at work so I plan on writing bits and pieces of it throughout my day here in the office. We’ll see how that goes. Chances are I’ll just finish it all up here in about 20 minutes and go back to being bored.

Thursday night Megs and I went to celebrate Anna’s birthday over at the bar in Pegasus Pizza. There were a lot of people there, even though they were sort of coming and going all night. Anna knows a lot of peolpe, it seems. The list of what I had: Four slices of pizza, shot of raspberry vodka, shot of Jaggermesiter (sp?), Jack & Coke, shot of Jamison’s Irish Whiskey, and some of Megan’s Long Island Ice Tea. Good stuff. Did not get sick this time as I wisely switched to drinking water at the correct time. Still, that didn’t stop me from putting on “American Pie” on the jukebox and ‘singing’ along. Luckily, the rest of the bar was ‘singing’ along as well, so all went according to plan. =)

Last night Megs and I went to go see The Alamo, and I’d say it was pretty good. Better than I was expecting, I guess. It had decent characters, lots of canons, and a decent historical story. No one real aspect of the movie stood out for me, but I came away feeling satisfied and not ripped off.

This afternoon I’m going to go out with dad to Virtual Office Systems to get some computer stuff to fix up his dying PC. I always love going computer part shopping! I’d like to get myself an NVidia GeForce FX 9700 Ultra, but I really can’t justify the expense right now. I ran some numbers and if I don’t buy gas or food I should be able to spare the $218 for it by June. This prompted me to modify my student loan payment plan. I will now be paying much less per month, although it will take another five years, but hey, I can always change it again later if I ever come into more money.

As I thought, I’ve not managed to keep this going all day. I think this article is done as it needs to be and I’m gonna post it.

And now, your moment of zen.

I also enjoy computer-parts-shopping. Hoping to build a new machine this summer!

Your title confused the heck out of me- there is a difference between "canon" and "cannon."

Yeah, yeah, yeah… So I’m a computer guy, not a writer. I’ve fixed the spelling error. 😛

I, unlike you, went to the movies and came away feeling unsatisfied and totally ripped off. Want to know why? See my post on the forum. : )

Have fun with the mad computer-part buying, yo.
