In San Francisco Now

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

Well, I’ve arrived in San Francisco for my little business trip. I just got back from a late dinner with a couple of my colleagues and now I’m in my own nice little private room with a king-sized bed and a huge plasma TV. Naturally, I’ve got the internet hooked up, so I’m good to go. Just wanted to let folks know how things are going with me. All is well and the flight up from Burbank was short and uneventful. Not too much to report on the trip itself yet, but I’ll write more later.

Ciao!

I’m Famous!

Monday, January 29th, 2007

Wooo! I’m famous!!! This is the part of the behind-the-scenes section of our Pirates Online web site. Click on my smiling picture for my bio, and then click the rest of the site for some other info on our little game.

Yeah, We’re Gonna Need You to Come in on Saturday…

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

As you may guess from my headline, I am indeed at the office right now. To be fair, I should point out that I was not required to be here, but I have things to do and our deadline is rapidly approaching, so I’m more than happy to do my part. Also, I haven’t been here all day, so it’s not all that bad.

Anyways, our game is rapidly nearing something awesome. I hope to be able to share it with you soon. Check out all the gamer news sites you can find towards the end of next week, cuz we’re gonna be sharing it with a number of outlets next week up in SF. I fly out of Burbank Monday night after work and I’ll be working up there through Thursday. Thursday evening I’m gonna head down to Matthew’s end of the Bay to visit for his birthday. I’ll be down there through the weekend, when dad will also join up. Pretty cool how it all worked out like that. =)

All right, gotta get back to it now. I’ll see you in the Caribbean Online! P-]

A Few Updates

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

For those who are curious, my birthday is coming up in three weeks. List has been updated.

Also, I’ve heard that some folks are curious about purchasing photos of our wedding. The professional photos can be ordered from this site here, but order soon because after February this site goes away.

Lastly, it sounds I’ll be going on a business trip up to San Francisco next week to help with a press event we’re doing for our game, Pirates of the Caribbean Online. It’s on Wednesday so I’ll either be just up and back on the day, or I might also be helping with setup and tear-down, in which case I’ll probably be there on the Tuesday and Thursday, too. I’m pretty excited about this because it’s going to be my first real business trip. =)

The Kingdom of Loathing

Thursday, January 4th, 2007

Let it be known both far and wide that I have once again entered The Kingdom of Loathing. I haven’t played this silly web-based pseudo-MMO game in years, so I figure I’m due. It seems some of my co-workers have stared playing, so I’m in.

Also, this is one of the funniest, live-action, college Final Fantasy parodies on YouTube I’ve seen all day. If you have any familiarity with the Final Fantasy series, you must click that link. There is no other way.

Made it Home Eventually

Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007

So, here’s what eventually happened with the car situation. The mechanic was unable to locate the needed part in Redding, so he’s going to order it this week. This left us without a car, so we rented one and drove the rest of the way down. Megs will be going back up to Portland on the train this weekend, and she’ll pick up my car and drive it down when she returns to L.A. Hopefully, it’ll be fixed by then.

Anyways, we made it home fine and it time for New Year’s Eve. Anna, Matt, and Cindy came over and we had a nice time hanging out together. Pretty quiet, but that’s probably for the best after all of our various holiday trips. Monday we went to have lunch with Jane and Ben who were in town, and then Megs and I came home and I took a nap. This was followed by four hours of Final Fantasy XII, which I must say I rather like. I’ll probably be playing more of it this evening.

Back at work now, so I’d better get to it. Later, all.
